I grew up in Colorado the second of three children into an artistic family. Our parents always encouraged us to use our imagination whenever we couldn’t find anything to do. So as youngsters we would sit around the table and draw.My brothers found their flair in sculpture. And I took to pen and ink as well as colored pencil and jewelry making .We are all self taught.
I have tried my hand at other forms of employment such as a telephone installer, but always found myself drawing on telephone room walls. This led to many contacts who wanted t shirt designs and eventually led to traveling to Beverly Hills with my brother and selling our artwork. My artwork can be found in homes in Aspen ,Beverly Hills and around Colorado.
I have always been amazed at the beauty of the world around us and I strive to connect the viewer to these majestic creatures that we are privileged to share our home with.Though I work in stained glass and jewelry my favorite medium is the pencil which allows me to explore each animal in a vivid way to capture each animals personality.
My husband son and daughter also share the same love for the outdoors. This has drawn us to stunning Montana which we now call home.My mission is to pass on to the art admirer an interaction between man and creature and deepen our interconnection and awe of the world around us.
